La comunidad Embera se moviliz\u00f3 activamente durante varios a\u00f1os para detener el proyecto. A pesar del esfuerzo, la lucha se vio marcada por el asesinato de varios l\u00edderes por parte de grupos paramilitares en conjunto con el Ejercito Naciona Este video, realizado por la documentalista Marta Rodr\u00edguez, se enmarca en el contexto de la Gran Marcha Embera hacia Bogot\u00e1 en 1999, que culmin\u00f3 frente al Ministerio de Medio Ambiente el 26 de abril de 2000. En el video, Marta entrevista al l\u00edder Embera Kat\u00edo Kimy Pern\u00eda Domic\u00f3 sobre los acuerdos alcanzados con el gobierno, sus expectativas y los incumplimientos que han enfrentado. Kimy Pern\u00eda exige que se protejan los pueblos ind\u00edgenas y aboga para que el desarrollo en que invierte el Estado no beneficie a pa\u00edses extranjeros sino que se consideren las necesidades de los pueblos ind\u00edgenas en relaci\u00f3n a la protecci\u00f3n ambiental.
